A Level 300 male student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has reportedly drowned while swimming at Sir Charles Beach in Winneba on 1 November.
The incident has left the university community and local residents in grief. It has also raised renewed concerns about the dangers and strong currents at the beach.
