Veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs has died at the age of 84.
His family announced his death on Wednesday, saying the acclaimed actor died on 16 September 2026.
Jacobs, whose full name was Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, was one of Nigeria’s most respected actors, with a career spanning several decades across stage, television and film.
His wife, actress Joke Silva, and their son announced his passing, describing him as the “Lion of Lufodo.
