The Upper West Regional Police Command has confirmed that 192 wraps of suspected narcotics retrieved from two individuals arrested in Wa are cocaine.
Regional Police Commander DCOP Francis Yiribaare announced the confirmation to the press in Wa following a forensic examination conducted in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC).
The two suspects are currently on remand and are expected to reappear before the court on October 9, 2026.
The arrests were made earlier this month after police intercepted the consignment in Wa, Upper West Region of Ghana. Investigations into the matter are continuing.
