The Member of Parliament for Madina, Dr Francis-Xavier Sosu, is doing well after becoming unwell during a speech at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Accra on Thursday.
Dr Sosu was addressing an audience when he suddenly appeared to lose consciousness and collapsed. People at the event quickly moved to assist him, and he was subsequently taken away for medical attention.
In a statement issued later on Thursday, his office assured the public that the MP had received the necessary medical attention and was doing well.
The statement, signed by Ivan Dzakpasu, Chief of Staff at the Office of the Member of Parliament for Madina, also thanked constituents, supporters and well-wishers for their concern, prayers and messages of support.
The office urged the public to remain calm and avoid relying on unverified reports or speculation about Dr Sosu’s condition.
