The Federation of African Journalists (FAJ) has unanimously selected Ghana to host the 6th FAJ Continental Congress after a two-day Steering Committee meeting in Accra from September 17–18, following a bid submitted by the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) under President Dr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour.
FAJ leaders also met President John Dramani Mahama to discuss media freedom, journalist safety and information integrity, urging Ghana to lead continental efforts to reverse declining press freedom.
