Ghana is targeting the return of its national airline to the skies by 2027, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said.
Mr Ablakwa said the timeline reflects President John Dramani Mahama’s ambition to restore Ghana’s national air carrier.
“President Mahama’s target is that by 2027, we should have Ghana Airways back in the skies,” he said.
The proposed return would mark a significant step towards re-establishing a national airline for Ghana, although further details on the plan, including its operational structure and investment arrangements, have not been provided in the statement.
