Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is on the verge of joining Spanish side Villarreal after leaving Arsenal at the end of his contract in June 2025. The 32-year-old, who spent five seasons with the Gunners, is set to return to Spain, where he previously starred for Atletico Madrid.
Partey has already completed his medical and is expected to sign a two-year deal, keeping him at Villarreal until 2027. His desire to return to Champions League football played a key role in the move. Despite interest from several European and Saudi clubs, Partey has chosen a return to La Liga to reignite his career at the top level.
