Police Arrest Pastor Who Said Shatta Wale Would Be Killed

Ghanaian prophet and counselor, D Y Donkoh, has been arrested after publicly predicting the death of Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale. The arrest occurred on Friday night, July 25, 2025, at Donkoh’s residence.

In a viral video, Donkoh claimed to have received two visions involving the musician—one where Shatta Wale survived an attack and another where he was gunned down by three armed men. The prophecy triggered outrage from Shatta Wale, who took to social media platform X to demand the prophet’s arrest within a week, warning of unspecified action if authorities failed to act.

“Men of God indeed. If you don’t arrest this man, nobody should blame me for what I’m capable of doing. It won’t be violent—but a lesson to this country,” Shatta Wale posted.
