NPP Opens Nominations for Flagbearer Position Starting July 29

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially announced the opening of nominations for its flagbearer position, starting Tuesday, July 29, 2025. This marks a significant step in the party’s internal processes as it gears up for the upcoming general elections.

In a statement released by the party’s leadership, the NPP outlined that the nomination window will allow eligible party members to pick up forms and declare their intent to lead the party into the next election cycle. The process is expected to be transparent and competitive, in line with the party’s democratic values.

The flagbearer position is considered one of the most influential roles within the NPP, as it determines who will represent the party in the presidential race. With the stakes high, political observers anticipate a keenly contested race among top party figures.

Further details regarding the nomination fees, submission deadlines, and vetting procedures are expected to be released in the coming days.

As the NPP opens this crucial chapter, all eyes will be on who steps forward to lead the party into Ghana’s next political era.
