Eunice Esi Esaaba Essien Elected GUPS President

Eunice Esi Esaaba Essien has been elected President of the Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS) with a decisive mandate, winning 126 out of 128 valid votes at the Union’s 23rd Annual Emergency Delegates Congress.

Her campaign focused on participatory leadership, integrity, vision, and service, promising an inclusive administration that leaves no one behind. As President Elect, Eunice will represent Ghanaian students at international platforms, including the African Union (AU) summit in Ethiopia.

Her leadership emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and partnership-building to advance student interests. Eunice’s victory has been widely celebrated by Student Representative Councils, who praised her commitment to unity and restoring confidence in GUPS.
