The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Ghanaian passport holders can now travel to the Maldives, Zambia, and Antigua and Barbuda without getting an entry visa.
Parliament has ratified the visa waiver agreements with the three countries, and the agreements are now in force.
The waiver applies to holders of Ordinary, Service and Diplomatic passports.
How long you can stay
• Maldives: up to 30 days
• Zambia: up to 30 days
• Antigua and Barbuda: up to 90 days
What travellers must still do
Visa-free travel does not mean you can ignore the other country’s immigration rules.
You must:
• travel with a valid Ghanaian passport
• carry any other documents the destination country may ask for
• not stay longer than the allowed period
• get the proper permit if you plan to work, study, live there, or do anything that needs special approval
Before you travel, check the latest entry and health rules with the destination country’s embassy, high commission, or immigration authorities.
The Ministry says it will continue to make travel easier for Ghanaians and strengthen relations with partner countries.
