The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says it has dismantled a scam operation in Ghana under its global “Operation Blackout” campaign targeting transnational fraud networks.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the operation identified nearly US$10 million in losses and 89 victims, with more than 130 people arrested or detained and over 300 electronic devices seized.
The investigation remains ongoing, with further details expected from US authorities.
