Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a leading name in waste management and a subsidiary of the Jospong Group of Companies, is gearing up to extend its expertise to Burkina Faso. This move follows a pivotal meeting between Zoomlion’s Executive Chairman, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, and Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, marking a significant stride in cross-border collaboration for environmental solutions.
On June 24, 2025, Agyepong led a delegation to meet with Prime Minister Ouédraogo, along with key Burkinabe officials, to formalize plans for an integrated waste management project. This initiative, born from discussions between Ghanaian and Burkinabe authorities, aims to replicate Ghana’s successful waste management models in Burkina Faso, covering collection, recovery, recycling, and treatment.
With over two decades of experience and a presence in 24 African countries, Zoomlion plans to utilize proven technologies to tackle Burkina Faso’s environmental challenges. Prime Minister Ouédraogo praised the initiative as a means to promote African expertise, combat unsanitary conditions, and create jobs for the youth, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting developmental investors.
