Walk with Traoré: Africa United in Protest

Today, the spirit of Pan-Africanism was alive and vibrant as people from across the continent gathered at Independence Square in Accra, Ghana, to participate in the “Walk with Traoré.” This powerful demonstration is part of a coordinated effort across every African nation, all standing in solidarity with Ibrahim Traoré and sending a clear message to the West: Keep your hands off Africa.

The walk commenced at the Ridge Roundabout, near the iconic African Unity Monument, and wound its way through the bustling city of Accra. Participants marched with determination, their voices echoing through the streets as they passed landmarks such as the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, finally culminating at the historic Independence Square. Though Ibrahim Traoré himself was not physically present, his spirit was felt in every step, every chant, and every shared moment of unity.

This movement signifies a turning point, a moment where Africa is collectively rising to protect its own. The protests underscore a shared desire for self-determination and an end to external interference. As the walk concluded at Independence Square, it was clear that this is more than just a march; it’s a united front, a powerful call for sovereignty, and a testament to the enduring strength and resilience of the African people.
