In a swift response to online reactions surrounding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the Trump administration has revoked the U.S. visas of six foreign nationals accused of mocking the tragedy.
According to the Associated Press, the individuals — from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay, and South Africa — were found to have publicly celebrated or made light of Kirk’s death, prompting federal action.
The U.S. State Department issued a firm statement, saying:
“Aliens who take advantage of America’s hospitality while celebrating the assassination of our citizens will be removed.”
The administration emphasized that it remains committed to defending the nation’s borders, values, and people by enforcing strict immigration laws.
This move underscores a broader message: that freedom of expression has consequences, especially when it involves inciting or celebrating violence against American citizens.
