President Ibrahim Traoré has shared his reflections on a recent visit to Bobo-Dioulasso, highlighting significant strides made towards national development. In a series of tweets, President Traoré expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved during his stay from May 21st to 24th, 2025.
“At the end of my visit, from May 21st to 24th, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso, I leave satisfied with the actions we have taken for the benefit of our valiant populations,” President Traoré stated.
A key focus of the visit was the distribution of agricultural and pastoral materials and inputs, totaling over 104 billion FCFA. This initiative aims to equip producers with the resources needed to achieve food self-sufficiency.
“The handover of agro-pastoral materials and inputs, with a total value of more than 104 billion FCFA, aims to provide our brave producers with substantial means to achieve food self-sufficiency,” he explained.
President Traoré also highlighted the groundbreaking of a cashew processing plant and a veterinary drug manufacturing unit as tangible steps towards industrialization.
“The laying of the first stone of the cashew apple processing plant and the veterinary drug manufacturing unit is also the materialization of our vision of a Burkina Faso moving towards genuine industrialization,” he noted.
Simultaneously, in Ouagadougou, the Brigade of Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland received a significant boost with logistics worth over 06 billion FCFA.
President Traoré emphasized that these investments and acquisitions are a direct result of citizen engagement through contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund and the payment of taxes.
“Dear compatriots, all these investments and acquisitions are the result of your civic commitment, through your contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund and the payment of various taxes and duties,” he affirmed.
He commended the people of Burkina Faso, including the diaspora, for their patriotic spirit and determination to build a new society.
“I therefore congratulate all the sons and daughters of Burkina Faso as well as the diaspora for this patriotic awakening and this determination to build, together, a new society,” he said.
President Traoré concluded with the national motto: “Homeland or Death, We Shall Overcome.”
