“The Future Is Africa”: ECOSOC Ambassador Shalimar Abbiusi Delivers Powerful Call for Continental Connectivity at Logiterre2

Rabat, Morocco – At Logiterre2, Africa’s largest transportation and logistics salon, Shalimar Abbiusi, spokesperson, coordinator, and director of international relations for the AU-ECOSOC, delivered a powerful message on the importance of connectivity across the African continent.

Speaking at the high-level gathering, Abbiusi highlighted both the challenges and opportunities in Africa’s transport and logistics sectors, emphasizing their critical role in driving regional integration, mobility, and economic development.

“Our future depends on how well we connect our people, goods, and ideas,” she said. “Transportation is not just about movement — it’s about access, empowerment, and unity.”

Abbiusi also took a moment to recognize the role of women in shaping Africa’s future. “To all the women breaking barriers and chasing dreams: your voice matters. You belong on every stage,” she said, encouraging inclusive leadership across all sectors.

The event also featured a Moroccan-style welcome dinner attended by speakers, dignitaries, and ECOSOC leaders, offering a rich cultural experience and strengthening international ties.

Shalimar Abbiusi’s presence and message at Logiterre2 reinforced a shared vision: a united, mobile, and thriving Africa where logistics and transport bridge the gap between potential and progress.
