On Saturday, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye visited Thiaroye-sur-Mer and Parcelles Assainies – Unit 24, two communities severely affected by flooding and coastal erosion. Wearing Wellington boots, the President walked through the impacted areas to show solidarity with residents facing difficult conditions.
He expressed compassion, reassured the public of the government’s full support, and reaffirmed the mobilization of all relevant services. The President also pledged decisive action to assist families, protect communities, and implement long-term solutions to prevent future disasters.
