The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has conducted major raids as part of investigations into the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) gold trade programme, which allegedly caused a US$94 million loss to the state.
The operation targeted the Trassaco residence of Nana Yaw Duodu, popularly known as Dr. Sledge, and the East Legon offices of Goldridge Company Limited. Acting under a High Court warrant, OSP officers seized luxury vehicles, jewellery, weapons, and documents related to landed properties.
Nana Yaw Duodu is being investigated for suspected corruption and corruption-related offences linked to the MIIF gold deal. The OSP confirmed the raid in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on October 29, 2025, adding that the investigation remains ongoing.
