Lagos to Host Africa’s First All-Electric Powerboat Championship

From October 3rd to 5th, history will be made as Lagos becomes the first African city to host the E1 Series — the world’s premier all-electric powerboat championship.

The E1 Lagos Grand Prix is more than just a race on water — it’s a bold statement of innovation, sustainability, and African excellence. As electric raceboats speed through Lagos’ waters, the event will spotlight how sport can drive climate-conscious solutions while showcasing the creativity and resilience that define the African spirit.

This is not just a sporting event — it’s a vision of the future, powered by clean energy and inspired by a continent on the rise.
