Ibrahim Mahama Sues Bright Simons for Defamation

Ibrahim Mahama, the CEO of Engineers and Planners, has filed a lawsuit against Bright Simons, the Vice President of IMANI, for defamation. The legal action follows statements made by Simons that Mahama alleges are damaging to his reputation and business interests.

The lawsuit brings attention to the ongoing tensions between business leaders and think tanks in Ghana, highlighting the potential for public commentary to lead to legal disputes.

The case is now set to proceed through the legal system, where both parties will present their arguments and evidence. The outcome could have significant implications for freedom of speech and the responsibilities of public commentators in the country.
