Armed Forces Deployed to Restore Order
A statement released on Sunday, July 27, 2025, by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, confirmed that the Ghana Armed Forces have been deployed to Bawku to maintain law and order. The military is tasked with enforcing intensified curfews to protect lives and property in the volatile region.
“We assure the public that the Ghana Armed Forces will take all necessary measures to protect lives and property,” the statement emphasized, underscoring the government’s commitment to public safety.

The government also took the opportunity to commend His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his ongoing mediation role in the Bawku chieftaincy conflict.
