Ghana is in mourning following reports of the passing of former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings. According to sources, she had been unwell for some time and was under medical supervision before her death.
Nana Konadu, wife of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, was a pioneering figure in Ghanaian politics and a strong advocate for women’s empowerment. Through her work with the 31st December Women’s Movement, she championed women’s rights, education, and community development, leaving an indelible mark on the nation’s social and political landscape.
While official statements from her family and medical team are yet to be released, tributes are already pouring in from across the country and beyond, celebrating her life of service, courage, and leadership.
May her soul rest in perfect peace. 🕊️
