A large fire has broken out on Arthur’s Seat, the iconic hill in the heart of Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park. The blaze was seen spreading rapidly across the area on Sunday evening, prompting an emergency response.
Police have urged the public to stay away from Holyrood Park and surrounding areas, including Willowbrae, Duddingston, and Holyrood, for safety reasons.
Supporters leaving the Hibernian vs Kilmarnock match at Easter Road Stadium have also been advised to avoid those routes.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment, and efforts to contain the blaze are ongoing.
