The management of Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale (Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.) has officially confirmed his detention by the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) in connection with an investigation into the tax obligations surrounding his purchase of a yellow Lamborghini.

According to a statement posted on his manager’s Facebook page, Shatta Wale voluntarily reported to EOCO this afternoon, accompanied by his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo, to assist with the ongoing inquiry.

Management assured fans and the public that his legal team is actively cooperating with the authorities and taking necessary steps to secure his release. They urged the SM Family and well-wishers to remain calm and avoid speculation while trusting in the judicial process.

Discussions with EOCO are expected to continue tomorrow, with further updates to be provided in due course.
