US academic Nathan Cofnas has been allowed to resume some of his duties at Ghent University in Belgium while a disciplinary inquiry into his conduct continues. Cofnas had accused late Cambridge University professor Jason Arday of plagiarism. Arday, 41, was found dead in London this month, days after resigning from his post. Ghent University said Cofnas can carry out academic work remotely but will not teach while the investigation continues. The university also confirmed contact with the US ambassador to Belgium over the case.
