A young Nigerian man, Samuel Ezekiel, has alleged that his friend changed his identity to **“Hassan Abubakar”** before he underwent kidney removal at Wellington Hospital in Abuja\. Ezekiel said he was deceived by his friend, Emmanuel Udeh, who allegedly told him they were going to hospital without explaining the real purpose of the trip\. He told journalists during a Nigeria Police Force parade of suspects linked to an alleged organ\-harvesting syndicate in Abuja and Nasarawa State that an agent later informed him his kidney matched another recipient\. According to Ezekiel, his name was changed before an affidavit was prepared at the Federal High Court, after which he was taken to the hospital for the procedure\. He said he was given money in US dollars before entering the theatre but handed it to Udeh for safekeeping\. Ezekiel alleged that after the operation, Udeh had exchanged the money and spent part of it on **two phones, two power banks and two Wi\-Fi devices**, giving him one of each\. He said they spent about a week in hospital before Udeh took him to a hotel and later to Cross River State, where they stayed for about three months\. When Ezekiel later asked about the money, he said Udeh told him it had been spent\. Ezekiel also alleged that Udeh later sold his phone to raise money for their return journey to Abuja\.
