The former Member of Parliament for Savelugu, Hon. Mohamed Abdul Samed Gunu, popularly known as Somed Gunu, has died.
Family sources confirmed to CDR Africa that he passed away on Wednesday, 15th October 2026, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. He was 57 years old.
News of his death has triggered an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, constituents, and political associates who remember him as a dedicated public servant.
The family is currently making arrangements for his burial in accordance with Islamic custom.
