Tragedy struck in the Iwuru Obio Ntan community of Biase Local Government Area, Cross River State, when a Dangote truck lost control and crashed into a residential home.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred suddenly, killing two people on the spot. The cause of the crash is still unclear, but residents say reckless driving by heavy-duty trucks is a recurring danger in the area.
The community has been left in mourning, with calls for urgent government intervention and better regulation of trucks passing through residential zones.
