In a bold and unprecedented move, the White House is set to host a UFC event next year as part of the United States’ 250th Independence Day celebrations on July 4, 2026.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the plans in an interview with CBS Mornings, stating, “It is definitely going to happen.” The idea was reportedly initiated by former President Donald Trump, a longtime supporter of the UFC, who hosted some of the sport’s earliest events at his properties in the early 2000s.
White revealed that he is working closely with Ivanka Trump to finalize the plans and venue logistics. A White House official also confirmed the event to the BBC, making it the first time a UFC fight will be held on White House grounds.
While the exact location on the property remains unclear, Trump has floated the idea of building a custom octagon cage on the lawn, with the potential to host up to 25,000 spectators.
As the country gears up for its 250th anniversary, the planned UFC event is set to bring together sports, spectacle, and patriotism in a historic celebration unlike any before.
