President Mahama Declares Monday, 22nd September 2025 a Public Holiday as Founder’s Day Falls on Sunday

The general public is informed that Sunday, 21st September 2025, is Founder’s Day, a statutory public holiday in Ghana.

However, since the day falls on a Sunday, President Mahama has declared Monday, 22nd September 2025, as an additional public holiday. This decision was made through an Executive Instrument (E.I), in line with the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601), as amended.

Ghanaians are advised to observe Monday, 22nd September as a public holiday across the country.
