Noah Urban, known online as “King Bob”, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud, conspiracy, and identity theft in connection with a major music leak scheme.
Urban gained notoriety for leaking unreleased tracks from top artists including Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and others. He reportedly hacked into private servers and accounts to access the unreleased music, which he then sold or distributed online.
In addition to his prison sentence, Urban has been ordered to pay $13 million in restitution to his victims, including record labels and artists affected by the leaks. The case marks one of the most significant legal actions against online music piracy in recent years.
Authorities warn that the music industry will continue to pursue legal action against those who profit from intellectual property theft.
