Kenya President Hosts Okada Riders at the Presidency, Assures Support for Their Livelihood

Kenyan President William Ruto hosted hundreds of boda boda (commercial motorcycle) riders at State House, Nairobi, reaffirming his government’s commitment to supporting their business.

Speaking during the engagement, President Ruto assured the riders—known in Ghana as Okada riders—that no one can threaten their livelihood, emphasizing their vital role in the country’s transport and informal sectors.

The meeting highlights the administration’s continued focus on empowering small-scale operators and promoting inclusive economic growth.
