IGP Cuts Sod for New Ward Complex at Police Hospital

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on Monday, August 11, 2025, cut the sod for the construction of a new ward complex at the Police Hospital in Accra.

The IGP was accompanied by members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) for the ceremony, which marks a major step toward improving healthcare infrastructure for police personnel and the general public.

In his remarks, Mr. Yohuno emphasized the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to enhancing medical care and ensuring that officers and citizens alike benefit from modern, well-equipped health facilities.

The new ward complex is expected to expand the hospital’s capacity and improve service delivery significantly.
