Senior Ghanaian politician Freddy Blay has said his wife is distraught and in tears following the alleged demolition of their son’s multi-million-cedi investment.
In a statement, Blay accused Richard Jakpa of demolishing the Polo Beach Club, an investment he valued at GH¢35 million — approximately US$2.99 million at current exchange rates.
“My wife is distraught and in tears, because Richard Jakpa demolished my son’s GH35 million Polo Beach Club investment,” Blay said.

Blay, a former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), did not provide further details about the circumstances of the alleged demolition or the location of the facility in the statement.
