A WestJet aircraft experienced a partial landing gear collapse while landing at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) earlier today.
The incident, which was captured on CCTV, reportedly involved the right main landing gear, which failed to fully support the aircraft during touchdown. The plane came to a stop on the runway, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
Airport authorities and emergency crews responded quickly to the scene. An investigation is expected to determine the cause of the mechanical failure.
WestJet and airport officials have yet to release a full statement, but flight operations at SXM may face delays as the runway is cleared and inspected.
