A heartbreaking incident occurred on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in Amantin, Mpohor Fiase Municipality, Western Region, as Pastor James Tawiah of the Deeper Life Church lost his life in a freak accident.
According to Assembly Member for Manso, Mr. Emmanuel Ndur, the pastor was en route to minister to a congregation when his vehicle stalled while ascending a hill. As he attempted to restart the car, he mistakenly left it in reverse gear, causing it to roll back at high speed. The vehicle crashed into a structure supporting a 350-liter water tank, dislodging it. The tank fell and crushed the car, killing Pastor Tawiah instantly.
His body was transported to the Tarkwa mortuary, and police investigations are currently underway. The tragic loss has left the local community in deep mourning.
