Thomas Partey Granted Conditional Bail in Rape and Sexual Assault Case; Denies All Allegations — Next Hearing Set for September 2

Ghanaian footballer Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The 32-year-old is facing five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault against a third woman. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred between 2021 and 2022, during his time playing for Arsenal.

As part of his bail conditions, Partey is barred from contacting any of the three women involved in the case. He must also inform police of any permanent change of address or plans for international travel.

Partey’s lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, has publicly stated that he “denies all the charges against him” and “welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name.”

The midfielder, now a free agent after his contract with Arsenal expired, is expected to reappear in court on September 2, 2025, at the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales as the legal proceedings continue.
