In an interview on Wontumi Radio, Mark Okraku-Mantey threw a subtle jab at the so-called “ShowDown Man,” claiming he isn’t financially sound. Okraku-Mantey raised concerns about the upcoming 2026 NPP primaries, noting that unlike previous contests, there appears to be insufficient financial resources this time around.
He further emphasized Ghana’s need for economic leadership, pointing out that while the country has had presidents who were lawyers or communicators, it has never had an economist at the helm. “For me, I’d like to see Bawumia lead the nation,” Okraku-Mantey stated, underlining his belief that strong economic expertise is crucial for national development.
