Students Accused of Using AI to Create and Circulate Fake P0rn0graphic Video of Teacher — GTU Calls for Immediate Action

A disturbing case of student misconduct has emerged at New Campbellville Secondary School in Guyana, where students allegedly used artificial intelligence (AI) to create and circulate a fake pornographic video featuring a female teacher’s face.

According to reports, at least two students were involved in producing the deepfake video, which quickly spread on social media. The situation escalated over the weekend when squibs were reportedly thrown at the teacher’s home — believed to be retaliation for disciplinary action taken against those involved.

The Ministry of Education has been notified and is currently addressing the matter.

The Guyana Teachers’ Union (GTU) has condemned the incident, with GTU President Coretta McDonald describing the act as “disgusting” and calling for urgent intervention. She highlighted ongoing issues at the school, including a severe teacher shortage, lack of furniture, and a general breakdown in discipline.

Teachers at the school have reportedly decided not to resume duties until the Ministry takes firm action.
