Elon Musk has reached an unprecedented financial milestone, becoming the first person in history to be worth $500 billion, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires tracker.
The South African-born entrepreneur’s soaring net worth is driven by his massive holdings in Tesla (valued at $191 billion), SpaceX (worth $168 billion), and xAI Holdings (estimated at $60 billion). A nearly 4% jump in Tesla’s stock on Wednesday alone added over $9 billion to his fortune.
Musk now leads the global wealth ranking by a staggering $150 billion, far ahead of second-place Larry Ellison. With a record-breaking Tesla pay package potentially worth up to $1 trillion on the horizon, Musk is officially halfway to becoming the world’s first trillionaire.
