Accra, Ghana – The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, has filed a defamation lawsuit against popular social commentator Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, widely known as Afia Schwarzenegger.
According to court documents, the plaintiff is demanding a GH¢10 million compensation for alleged false and defamatory remarks made by Afia Schwarzenegger, which he claims have significantly damaged his personal and professional reputation.
Allegations Made by the Defendant
Afia Schwarzenegger is reported to have made several accusations against Mr. Gyamfi, including:
Engaging in extramarital affairs with multiple students at the University of Ghana. Allegedly buying cars for these students in exchange for romantic involvement.
The plaintiff insists these claims are entirely fabricated and intended to tarnish his image.
Demands by the Plaintiff
In addition to the GH¢10 million in damages, Sammy Gyamfi is asking the court to compel Afia Schwarzenegger to:
Issue a full retraction of the defamatory statements. Render an unqualified apology to be published in the Daily Graphic for three consecutive days. Publish the same apology on her TikTok platform, where the allegations were allegedly spread. Comply with any other directives the court may deem fit in delivering justice.

This lawsuit adds to the growing list of celebrity defamation cases in Ghana, as public figures increasingly turn to the courts to protect their reputations in the age of social media.
Afia Schwarzenegger, known for her outspoken and often controversial commentary, has yet to publicly respond to the suit.
