Renowned Ghanaian businessman Sam Jonah has commended President John Mahama for publicly ruling out a bid for a third term. In an interview on Starr FM, Jonah described calls to amend the 1992 Constitution to allow Mahama to run again as “nonsense” and applauded the president’s commitment to democratic principles just months into his tenure.
Highlighting political developments in other African countries, Jonah noted that Mahama’s clear stance sets a commendable example of leadership and integrity, emphasizing that the president would not entertain pressure to extend his term.
