Rwanda has built 793 houses for homeless people and those in high-risk areas.

Rwanda is making significant strides in its commitment to providing safe and secure housing for its most vulnerable citizens. The government has successfully constructed 793 houses aimed at rehoming individuals and families previously living without shelter or in areas prone to natural disasters.

This initiative marks a crucial step forward in addressing homelessness and mitigating risks associated with living in high-risk zones. By providing sturdy, well-built homes, the Rwandan government is offering stability and a foundation for a better future for those who need it most.

In a heartening display of progress, 310 of these new houses have already been officially handed over to 172 families, complete with all necessary documentation. This ensures that these families not only have a safe place to live but also the legal security and peace of mind that comes with owning their homes. The remaining houses are expected to be allocated in the near future, further extending the reach of this vital program.
