In a significant diplomatic engagement, the Prime Minister of India met with His Majesty King Charles III today, discussing a broad range of topics aimed at deepening the historic and evolving relationship between India and the United Kingdom.
The high-level meeting reflected the shared vision of both nations for a modern and mutually beneficial partnership. Key points of discussion included trade and investment, especially progress made under the framework of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and Vision 2035, which outlines a forward-looking agenda for India–UK collaboration.
“We covered important ground in areas of trade and investment, reflecting on how far we’ve come and how much potential lies ahead under CETA and Vision 2035,” the Prime Minister noted after the meeting.
Beyond economics, the discussions extended into education, health, and wellness—with a special focus on Yoga and Ayurveda, subjects King Charles III has long shown a deep personal interest in. The leaders exchanged ideas on how traditional Indian systems of wellness can contribute to global health and lifestyle improvements.
Environmental conservation and sustainability were also key topics. Both leaders reiterated the urgent need for global cooperation in addressing climate change and reaffirmed their countries’ commitments to building a greener future.
This meeting marks another important chapter in the long-standing India–UK relationship, which continues to evolve in new and meaningful directions. As both nations navigate the 21st century, today’s dialogue underscores a shared commitment to sustainable development, cultural exchange, and economic progress.
