President John Dramani Mahama is set to swear in 21 new Justices to the Court of Appeal today, October 2, 2025. Among them is Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Dormaahene and President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, who is known in legal circles as Justice Daniel Mensah.
This significant judicial elevation includes experienced High Court judges and legal academics, such as Justice Senyo Amedahe, Justice Richmond Osei-Hwere, and Justice Enyonam Adinyira. The appointments are expected to enhance the judiciary’s reach, especially with the growing role of the Court of Appeal’s regional divisions, including the Tamale registry which serves Ghana’s northern sector.
This move is seen as a major step toward strengthening justice delivery and promoting regional balance within the country’s judicial system.
