In a bold move to reclaim national territory and bolster internal security, Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has presented a new fleet of armored military vehicles to the national armed forces.
The handover, which marks a significant step in the country’s ongoing “reconquest” campaign, underscores the government’s commitment to restoring control over areas affected by insurgency and insecurity.
“Our mission is clear — the reconquest of our territory is non-negotiable,” President Traoré declared during the official presentation ceremony.
The new armored vehicles are expected to enhance the military’s mobility and protection in conflict zones, strengthening Burkina Faso’s defense capabilities in its fight against terrorism and instability.
This development reflects a larger national strategy aimed at securing peace, sovereignty, and the return of displaced communities across the country.
