Planned Power Outages on Sunday, July 13: ECG Announces Nationwide Maintenance Exercise

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that there will be brief power outages across various parts of the country on Sunday, July 13, 2025, as part of a planned maintenance exercise aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing the reliability of the power distribution network.

The announcement was made via public notices issued by the company on Friday, July 11.

Purpose of the Outage

According to ECG, the scheduled outages are necessary to upgrade infrastructure, ensuring more efficient and dependable electricity delivery to homes, businesses, and industries across the affected regions.

The exercise will affect the Greater Accra, Tema, and Western Regions, with specific time slots and locations detailed below.

Western Region

First Phase (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM): Vienna City Accra Station Mankessim White House Nearby neighborhoods Second Phase (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM): Daboase Sekyere Krobo Sekyere Nsuta Aboaboso Bosomase Other surrounding communities

Tema Region (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM):

Greenhouse Enclave Philip Kope Afienya Boishe Ataa Mensah Mobole Other surrounding areas

Greater Accra Region (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM):

ECG Calls for Patience
