Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has firmly defended the club’s decision to continue playing Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, despite ongoing legal proceedings related to multiple serious allegations.
In a press conference ahead of Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia, Arteta addressed growing scrutiny surrounding the club’s handling of the matter. The Spanish manager emphasized that the club acted in accordance with established procedures and stood by the choices made regarding Partey’s involvement in the team.
“One hundred per cent,” Arteta stated when asked whether Arsenal followed the correct protocols. “There are processes and legal boundaries we must respect. This is a very complicated and sensitive issue currently being handled by the court.”

“We understand people have questions. We also have a duty to follow the law and to support due process,” Arteta added, declining to offer further comment on the specifics of the case.
