Man Sues Graceyard Hospital in Ashaiman for Medical Negligence Leading to Wife’s Death, Demands GH¢2 Million in Damages

Accra, Ghana – August 2025: A grieving husband has filed a lawsuit at the High Court against Dr. Clement Oppong, a medical officer at Ashaiman Municipal Hospital, and his private facility, Graceyard Hospital, for alleged medical negligence that led to the untimely death of his wife.

According to the suit, the doctor and both hospitals breached their duty of care, resulting in fatal consequences. The husband claims that avoidable errors and a lack of appropriate medical attention contributed to his wife’s death.

The case, which raises serious concerns about patient safety and professional accountability, is now awaiting hearing before the High Court.
